Jose Iglesias Feeling Much Better
Jose Iglesias' back is "feeling a lot better today," according to manager Brandon Hyde. The skipper said that Iglesias would work out on Thursday and could play in the intrasquad game in the evening. The O's are just being cautious here with their everyday shortstop, so Iglesias should be ready for Opening Day. The 30-year-old infielder from Cuba had a solid season in Cincinnati in 2019, hitting .288/.318/.407 with 11 home runs, 59 RBI, 62 runs and six stolen bases. The double-digit homer season was the first of his eight-year career, though, and you definitely aren't relying on Iglesias for power as a middle infielder in deep mixed and AL-only formats.
