John Ross Hoping To Take Next Step In 2019
6 years agoCincinnati Bengals wide receiver John Ross, the team's first-round pick in 2016, has shown fluidity as a receiver in head coach Zac Taylor's system so far in organized team activities. The 24-year-old third-year wideout figures to move all around the field as a threat, a decoy and dynamic weapon for the offense. "With John he's still thinking," wide receiver Tyler Boyd said. "He's thinking and then he reacts. I feel like once he gets comfortable and makes plays he'll be fine. He's just got to cut it loose." Cincy's coaching staff isn't babying Ross either, so he'll have plenty of chances to make an impact this year. Ross is still only 23, too, so he could easily break out in Taylor's offense this year, but fantasy owners won't need to invest anything more than a late-round flier in deeper leagues.
