Joey Ortiz Reinstated and Starting on Monday
Joey Ortiz (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list on Monday, and he's starting at shortstop and batting ninth for Monday's series opener against the visiting Philadelphia Phillies and right-hander Taijuan Walker at American Family Field. Ortiz's return from the IL will push Andruw Monasterio back to a utility role in Milwaukee. The 27-year-old Ortiz has been better offensively in the second half of the season, but overall he's still not much of a fantasy weapon, outside of deep-mixed and NL-only formats. The former fourth-rounder by the Baltimore Orioles in 2019 out of New Mexico State will return to a .233/.284/.328 slash line, seven home runs, 43 RBI, 56 runs and 11 stolen bases in 400 at-bats. Ortiz has gone hitless in just two career at-bats versus Walker. Stay away from him in DFS.
