Jimmy Nelson, Dustin May Dealing With Minor Injuries
5 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that starting pitcher Jimmy Nelson (groin) is dealing with minor "benign" groin soreness, while Dustin May has some tightness in his side. Of the two, May is the more attractive fantasy option at just 22 years old with a lot of upside. He'll be a late-round upside selection for rotation depth in shallow mixed leagues. Nelson, along with May, is battling for a spot at the end of the team's rotation, so he'll need to be healthy in order to win that competition. He missed all of 2018 with a shoulder injury and had a rough 6.95 ERA and 1.91 WHIP in three starts and seven relief outings for Milwaukee in 2019. If he wins a rotation spot, Nelson could be a sleeper in deep mixed and NL-only leagues.
