Jets Interested In Frank Reich To Run Offense
2 years agoThe New York Jets have former Indianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich on their list as they search for a new offensive coordinator this offseason, but it's unlikely to happen. The team is also interested in some other candidates that have a background in coaching the offensive line. Reich just completed a head-coach interview on Wednesday with the Carolina Panthers, a team he was with briefly during his playing career. He was fired by the Indianapolis Colts after a 3-5-1 start to the year, and he went 40-33-1 in his tenure with the Colts. New York mutually agreed to part ways with offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur this week. Under LaFleur's watch, former second overall pick Zach Wilson regressed in 2022 and was benched twice. The Jets are expected to look at acquiring a veteran QB in a trade this offseason.
