3 years agoCincinnati Reds starting pitcher Jeff Hoffman (shoulder) "is ready to go," according to manager David Bell. There's a chance that Hoffman could return to start against the New York Mets next week. Hoffman has been on the injured list since late may with a right shoulder impingement, so fantasy managers should be looking to avoid him if he returns to the rotation early next week. On top of it, the 28-year-old right-hander hasn't been very effective in 10 starts for the Reds in 2021, going 3-4 with a 4.61 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 39 strikeouts and 27 free passes in 41 innings of work. He should only be worth a roster spot in deep NL-only leagues, and those looking for a cheap streamer in DFS next week should avoid him.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
