Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins returned from his hamstring injury last week against the Cowboys and showed he is still the best option in the team's passing game. Collins only played 69% of snaps in Week 4 against Dallas, but led the team with eight targets and caught seven of those passes for 118 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Collins has been outstanding in each of the two games he has been available, and this week, he gets a great matchup against the Titans, who have struggled to cover top outside receivers this season. Collins is the No. 6 WR in RotoBaller's Week 5 rankings and can be started confidently in all formats since he is such a focal point of the team's offense and should be ready for even more work after his successful return last week.--Zach Thompson

Arizona Cardinals kicker Chad Ryland hit a 60-yard field goal in Week 4. It was his only attempt of the game and the longest field goal conversion of his career. Ryland also went 3-for-3 on extra point attempts. For the season, he is 8-for-9 on field goals and 9-for-9 on extra points. Ryland could see some extra action in Week 5, as the meeting between Arizona and the Detroit Lions carries the highest implied point total of the slate. The inherent irony in the matchup from Ryland's perspective is that Detroit's defense is so leaky that the action he sees will mostly be in the form of more extra point tries than usual. One way or another, Ryland is practically guaranteed to put points on the board in Week 5. He makes for a decent option for habitual streamers or fantasy managers whose usual kicker is on bye.--Dan Stephens

Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride experienced his least productive game of the new season in Week 4, pulling in just 31 receiving yards and finishing outside the top-10 at his position for the first time. He still reached double digits in the targets column and had seven receptions. Through four weeks, he ranks third in the NFL in receptions and targets. In Week 5, he is once again a favorite to finish as the week's top tight end in a smash spot against the Detroit Lions. The Lions' defense has given up 31.8 points and 327 passing yards per game this year and has been especially leaky against tight ends. Detroit has allowed the most receptions (37), the most touchdowns (six), and the second-most receiving yards (407) to the position in 2026. McBride is a week-to-week must-start, with the potential in Week 5 to be the overall TE1.--Dan Stephens

Houston Texans running back Woody Marks is still in a timeshare with David Montgomery in the Texans' backfield, and neither back has been especially effective in the team's 0-4 start. Marks has found the end zone on short runs in each of the last two weeks, and he has also been the more involved option as a receiver out of the backfield. Aside from Montgomery's huge three-touchdown game in Week 1, Marks has outscored the veteran each week. The even timeshare limits the upside of both running backs, but last year as a rookie, Marks had a breakout two-touchdown performance in Week 4 against the Titans. This year, he'll look to follow the same script a week later, and the buzz has been that the team could be ready to increase his workload in the time share. He's ranked as the No. 31 RB in RotoBaller's Week 5 rankings, which makes him a high-risk FLEX play in most leagues this week. He does have the potential for a big game, but his uncertain workload keeps him as a fringe option.--Zach Thompson

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. caught his first touchdown pass of the season in last week's loss to the New York Giants. The 12-yard grab was also his sole reception on the day, giving him five catches for 85 yards and a touchdown through the first four games of 2026. Once the subject of discussions regarding who was the top wide receiver on Arizona's depth chart, Harrison has fallen far behind Michael Wilson, who has accumulated 30 targets over the last two weeks. Harrison, meanwhile, has 13 all season. For fantasy teams sticking with Harrison, Week 5 is as good of a matchup as one could hope for in the Detroit Lions. The Lions' defense has been porous, giving up 31.8 points and 327 passing yards per game. Harrison projects as a WR3 in a forgiving matchup and can be plugged into starting lineups for Week 5.--Dan Stephens

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson is in a good spot to continue building on his recent success. Wilson scored his first touchdown of the year in Week 3, and in his last two games has averaged fifteen targets, nine receptions, and 92 receiving yards. In Week 5, the Cardinals host the Detroit Lions, whose defense has been consistently ineffective through the first four games of 2026. The Lions have allowed opposing wide receivers the most receptions and third-most receiving yards this season, and gave up a 14-192-2 line to Tetairoa McMillan in Week 4. Wilson can't be expected to match that level of success, but his increased role in the passing attack provides optimism for a big day. Based on his recent performances and a soft matchup, Wilson has a WR1 ceiling in Week 5 and should be in starting lineups this weekend.--Dan Stephens

Arizona Cardinals running back Tyler Allgeier experienced his most productive game of the new season in last week's loss to the New York Giants. In Week 4, Allgeier handled eight carries for 42 rushing yards, the most he has had in both categories since Week 1, and scored his first touchdown of the season. In Week 5, Allgeier could see an increased role if Arizona decides not to push Jeremiyah Love (ankle) too hard after the rookie dealt with discomfort in the same ankle where he suffered a high sprain during the preseason. It would be a great spot for Allgeier to see increased usage, as the Lions have one of the worst defenses in the league. Over four weeks, they are giving up 96.3 rushing yards and one touchdown per game to opposing running backs. Allgeier projects as an RB3 for Week 5, making him a justifiable start in a deep enough league or for a team plugging holes created by a bye week.--Dan Stephens

Houston Texans running back David Montgomery still has a high ceiling, but he has struggled to get going since his massive Week 1 debut for his new team. He started the year with a three-touchdown game against the Bills in Week 1, but since then, he has only averaged 5.2 fantasy points per game with 27 carries for just 65 yards (2.7 yards per carry). He hasn't found much space to work and hasn't gotten into the end zone in his last three games. He has been outscored in each of those three weeks by his teammate Woody Marks, who continues to split the backfield work with him in a timeshare that is about 50/50. Neither has had a big week since Montgomery's Week 1 as the offensive line struggles, so even this week's favorable matchup against the Titans isn't enough to make Montgomery a confident RB2. He's only RotoBaller's No. 20 RB this week, since there is so much uncertainty in Houston's struggling offense. He's still startable due to his touchdown-dependent upside, but his recent lack of production keeps him from being a locked-in option every week.--Zach Thompson

Arizona Cardinals running back Jeremiyah Love (ankle) was limited in practice this week while managing ankle discomfort stemming from Week 4's loss to the New York Giants. Love got a full session in on Friday, though, and does not have a designation for the Cardinals' Week 5 meeting with the Detroit Lions. Love is in a good spot to take another step forward in the first weeks of his NFL career. Love has not scored since his debut in Week 1, but in the last two weeks he has compiled 164 yards from scrimmage on 35 carries and six receptions. Tyler Allgeier may siphon off more work in light of Love's ankle discomfort, but Love himself should be effective against a Lions defense that gave up 122 rushing yards and two touchdowns to Chuba Hubbard in Week 4. Love is projected as an RB2 and should be in starting lineups for Week 5.--Dan Stephens

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett shot up the weekly projection rankings thanks to his Week 5 matchup against the Detroit Lions. The Lions' defense has been one of the NFL's least effective units in 2026, allowing 31.8 points per game, the highest first-down rate, and the most passing yards. Brissett has been one of the league's more prolific passers this season, putting up 38 pass attempts per game. He will likely be airing it out again in the hopes of being the fifth quarterback in as many weeks to record multiple touchdown passes and the fourth to record 300 passing yards against Detroit's porous secondary. In Week 5, Brissett should be locked into a starting slot in two-QB formats and is an attractive streaming option in one-QB leagues, especially for those fantasy teams whose starting quarterback is on bye this week.--Dan Stephens

Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud is still trying to get his team its first victory of the season, and he is in a good spot to post solid stats this week against the Titans in Tennessee. With the run game often bogging down, Stroud has had to throw more this season, averaging 37.8 attempts per game with over 30 pass attempts in three of his four games. He have five touchdowns and no interceptions this season, while averaging 285.2 passing yards per contest. The Titans have allowed four passing touchdowns in four weeks to opposing QBs and an average of 220.5 passing yards per game. Last week, Lamar Jackson looked excellent against them in the first half before leaving with an injury. The Titans have allowed the fifth-fewest fantasy points to QBs this season, but in a desperation game, Stroud is the No. 14 QB in RotoBaller's rankings for Week 5, making him a fringe starter in single-quarterback leagues and a very strong QB2 in dual-QB formats.--Zach Thompson

San Francisco 49ers kicker Eddy Pineiro was 3-for-3 on his extra points, converted one field goal attempt, and had another one blocked in last Sunday's win over the Denver Broncos. Pineiro's make from the field was on a 24-yarder in the second quarter. The block came on a 54-yard try at the end of the first half. He is 14-for-16 on extra points, leading the league in both conversions and attempts, and 4-for-6 on field goal attempts. San Francisco's ability to convert drives into touchdowns has robbed Pineiro of more opportunities to try the field goals that would be more lucrative for fantasy purposes. However, it bodes well for his prospects that his offense can consistently drive into their opponent's territory. In Week 5, Pineiro is worth starting in what should be a hard-fought divisional matchup between the 49ers and Seattle Seahawks.--Dan Stephens

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle's playmaking in Week 4 served as another reason for fantasy managers to no longer worry about the Achilles injury that he suffered in last season's playoffs. Late in the fourth quarter, Kittle caught a pass underneath and then carved his way through Broncos defenders for a 56-yard touchdown, putting the game out of reach. It was his fourth touchdown in the last three weeks and gave him his third consecutive top-10 finish at his position in fantasy football. Kittle and the 49ers have a divisional matchup against the Seattle Seahawks on tap for Week 5. Seattle's defense is among the best in the league, but in Week 2 the Cardinals found a way to get Trey McBride eight catches and a touchdown. San Francisco will need to keep Kittle involved to compete with the Seahawks on Sunday. Despite the challenging matchup, Kittle is a must-start.--Dan Stephens

Baltimore Ravens kicker Tyler Loop drilled a 64-yard field goal and made all three extra-point attempts against the Tennessee Titans in Week 4. Loop did miss a 40-yard field goal wide left late in the fourth quarter, but the hold on that attempt may have been an issue. Loop should benefit from the controlled environment inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta against the Falcons in Week 5, with the second-year kicker making six of seven field goals and all six extra points across his young career playing indoors. However, the Ravens offense gets a slight downgrade with two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson (ankle) missing Week 5 due to injury. Veteran backup quarterback Tyler Huntley will step in for Lamar, but he's far less efficient and effective than the team's starter, which could stall drives inside Loop's field goal range. Even so, Loop is RotoBaller's sixth-overall kicker for Week 5 and, with the Ravens on a late bye week, he profiles as a long-term hold option for managers who want to avoid streaming the position.--Matt McCauley

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. found the end zone again in last week's win over the Denver Broncos, giving him three touchdowns in the first four games of the season. Samuel's versatility has been on display in recent weeks, first being the recipient of a hook-and-ladder toss that he took 80 yards to the house in Week 3, and seeing increased use in the backfield in Week 4, resulting in three carries for 44 rushing yards. In Week 5, the 49ers are facing their stiffest challenge of the season in the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle has held opposing wide receivers to a league-low 395 receiving yards and has given up just 16.8 points per game through four weeks. Samuel will be schemed into the divisional matchup, but he still sits behind Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, and Mike Evans in the pecking order. He can be started in fantasy football in Week 5 as a WR3/flex option.--Dan Stephens

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans (ribs) sandwiched a DNP between two limited practice sessions this week, and yet he does not appear on the Week 5 injury report. Evans suffered an injury to his ribs in Week 3 that forced him to leave that game early, but he was still heavily involved in last week's win over the Broncos. Ahead of that game, Evans was deemed a game-time decision but went on to catch five passes and led the team with 76 receiving yards and eight targets. In Week 5, he will be facing a Seahawks secondary that has given up the fewest receiving yards (395) and third-fewest receptions (36) to opposing wide receivers so far in 2026. Evans is already an integral part of the 49ers' passing attack, but he is still hurt and playing against a defense that will be hard to exploit. He can be plugged into fantasy lineups for Week 5 with an expected WR2 ceiling.--Dan Stephens

San Francisco 49ers running back Kaelon Black (illness) showed promise as Christian McCaffrey's understudy in Week 1. In the season opener, the rookie handled 14 carries for 65 yards. His effectiveness seemed to open the door to a rotation to keep McCaffrey fresh, but Black has not seen more than seven carries in a game over the last three weeks. Black was limited in practice earlier this week by an illness, but he was a full participant on Thursday and Friday and has no designation for the 49ers' upcoming game against the Seahawks. Deep-league fantasy managers who are keeping weekly tabs on Black as an option should wait another week. Seattle is allowing the lowest rushing success rate and fourth-lowest EPA per rushing attempt. Black's opportunities to get on the field may also be limited in what is expected to be a hotly contested divisional matchup. Black is projected as an RB5 and should remain a bench stash for the time being.--Dan Stephens

Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry takes on the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5, but he will be without his starting quarterback, Lamar Jackson (ankle), who was ruled out due to injury Friday afternoon. In Week 4 against the Tennessee Titans, Henry gained 73 yards on 23 carries, scored a first-half touchdown, and caught both targets for six yards. While the entire offense gets a downgrade with Lamar's absence, fantasy managers are relying on Henry's volume to keep him in RB1 range. Quarterback Tyler Huntley last started with Henry in Week 17 last year against the Green Bay Packers. In that game, Derrick Henry posted 2025 season-highs of 216 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Moreover, Henry's 28.5 touches per game with Huntley is the highest he's averaged with any starting quarterback with at least two games together, according to NextGen Stats. However, the Falcons' stout run defense has allowed the league's fewest rushing yards per game (48.3) and has given up the fourth-fewest fantasy points to running backs through four weeks. There is also a concern that the Ravens, who are road underdogs, will be playing from behind Sunday night, which may limit Henry's opportunities given his limited involvement in the air or hurry-up offense. Despite playing with a backup quarterback against one of the league's best run defenses, Henry remains a low-end RB1 because of his talent and expected rushing volume, and he should be in all lineups this week.--Matt McCauley

The Baltimore Ravens' DST was serviceable against the Tennessee Titans in Week 4, but fell short of managers' expectations for a top-tier finish against one of the worst offenses. The road does not get easier as the Ravens fly to Atlanta to face the Falcons Sunday night in Week 5. Once again, the DST will be without star outside linebacker Trey Hendrickson (finger), who was ruled out Friday, and cornerback Marlon Humphrey (hamstring/calf) carries a questionable tag after logging just one limited practice this week. The Atlanta Falcons offense has been rolling since quarterback Michael Penix Jr.'s return in Week 3, and elite running back Bijan Robinson looks almost unstoppable, with four rushing touchdowns and over 300 rushing yards over the last two games. Also, Penix has the league's sixth-lowest sack rate (2.2%) and has thrown just one interception in his two games. With Hendrickson out, the Ravens DST has a sub-3% sack rate, which would rank them as fourth-worst in the NFL. The Ravens DST is a risky start against the Falcons, but managers may want to weather the storm in Atlanta and look ahead to the Week 6 matchup against the Cleveland Browns.--Matt McCauley

San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey was held out of the end zone in Week 1 but has scored at least one touchdown in each of his last three games. Going back to 2025, McCaffrey has scored in 15 of the 49ers' last 21 games. Extending his current touchdown streak against the Seahawks in Week 5 will be difficult, but not impossible. McCaffrey's 15 touches inside the 20 rank 15th among all NFL players and represent a 35% team share in red zone opportunities. He should see another handful of chances to punch one in on Sunday. McCaffrey's talents as a receiver will be in play on Sunday, as the Seahawks have allowed the fourth-most receptions to running backs in 2026, whereas they have given up the lowest success rate on rushing attempts. CMC has his work cut out for him in Week 5, but he is an integral part of the 49ers' offense and can still be counted on for RB1 production.--Dan Stephens
