7 months agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Jay Bruce continued his torrid power stroke in Friday's win over the Angels. He took Felix Pena deep in the second inning for a solo shot and also added a double finishing the night going 2-for-4. Bruce holds a lowly .194 batting average on the year as 12 of his 14 hits this year have been for extra bases. Despite the drain in average, it's been a productive year for the veteran in his first year in Seattle. Expect his average to normalize in the low .200s, but Bruce is no stranger to a 30 HR season which would be welcoming after a disappointing 2018.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
