Jason Alexander to Start on Tuesday
Jason Alexander will make the start on Tuesday in Sacramento against the Athletics, according to the Houston Chronicle's Matt Kawahara. This will be Alexander's first start of the year and his first start in the big leagues since 2022 with the Milwaukee Brewers in his first year in the majors. The 32-year-old veteran will be making his Astros debut on Tuesday after appearing in just four games out of the bullpen for the A's early this year, when he allowed 13 runs (12 earned) on 12 hits (three homers) while walking five and striking out five. Houston currently has an opening in their rotation due to the injury to Lance McCullers Jr., but Alexander will most likely just be filling more of an opening role this week. He had nice 1.74 ERA and 1.26 WHIP with 15 K's and eight walks in 20 2/3 innings. Fantasy managers should be avoiding him as a streamer.
