Jarren Duran Expected To Be Fine
1 year agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran (toe) is expected to be fine after leaving Sunday's game early against the New York Yankees with a toe contusion, according to sources. Duran's exit from the series finale in the Bronx was precautionary and no X-rays were needed. Nobody has been flown to Houston for this week's series against the Astros to be part of the taxi squad. Duran might not be in Monday's lineup against Houston, but he should be able to avoid a trip to the injured list. The 26-year-old has been great in 2023 with a .295 average (98-for-332) and 24 stolen bases, but he's also hitting just .192 (10-for-52) with two home runs, three doubles, five RBI, 13 strikeouts, a steal and five runs scored in 17 games (13 starts) so far in August.
