Jameson Williams 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook: Knocking On The Door Of Fantasy Consistency With Injuries, Suspension Behind Him
6 months agoDetroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams has flashed talent in both of his NFL seasons thus far but has not fully put all the pieces together. 2024 is a make-or-break year for Williams. While he may not turn out to be a high-end elite wide receiver, this is a player who should provide consistent fantasy value. He missed six games last season due to a gambling suspension and played in only six games in 2022 as he was recovering from an ACL tear at the very end of his college career. Williams finished 2023 with 354 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Those aren't numbers to write home about, but as the 2023 season progressed, Williams' snap share and route share steadily increased through the NFC championship game. In other words, the Lions began to trust him, especially when it mattered most despite being Detroit's N0. 3 option behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Sam LaPorta. With a full offseason and no gambling suspension in his way in 2024, the 23-year-old has a chance to shine right out of the gate. Williams is currently being drafted as the WR45 with an ADP of 112.87, which is right in line with RotoBaller's rankings. This is a player who has the talent, quarterback, and offense to finish inside the top 30 wide receivers in fantasy realistically, and he will cost you nothing in drafts. Williams should, at the very least, deliver better positional value than WR45. He is a player to target after your starting lineup has been filled because he could end up as a consistent starter for your fantasy team.
