James Paxton To Make Spring Debut On Friday
2 years agoBoston Red Sox left-hander James Paxton (lat) is scheduled to make his Grapefruit League debut next Friday as the Red Sox begin to start mixing regular starters in. Paxton made just one start in 2021 and missed all of the 2022 season while rehabbing from Tommy John surgery and he also dealt with a lat strain, but he's apparently healthy this spring and ready to lock down a rotation spot for Boston. The 34-year-old southpaw has been dominant in the past, but he's only thrown 21 2/3 innings over the last three seasons, so it wouldn't be wise for fantasy managers to expect too much in 2023. Workload restrictions will most likely cap his fantasy upside in his first action with the BoSox.
