James Cook To Have Expanded Role In 2023
2 years agoBuffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane said on Tuesday that running back James Cook will have "an expanded workload and more touches" in his second NFL season in 2023. Cook, a second-rounder in 2022, finished his rookie season with 89 carries for 507 yards and two touchdowns while catching 21 of 32 targets for 180 yards and another score in 16 games (zero starts) while working behind Devin Singletary. But Cook could end up being Buffalo's No. 1 running back in his sophomore season, as Singletary is slated to hit free agency on March 15. The 23-year-old's fantasy arrow will be pointing firmly upward in 2023, even if Singletary is re-signed.
