Jalen Hurts Eligible For Massive Extension
2 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is eligible for a massive contract extension this offseason. Since he wasn't a first-rounder, Hurts doesn't have a fifth-year option on his rookie deal. He's scheduled to make $4 million in 2023 on the final year of his rookie deal, but the Eagles and Hurts' representatives are expected to get together this offseason to see if they can work out what will no doubt be a huge extension. If not for a right shoulder injury that cost him a few games late in the regular season, the 24-year-old would have almost certainly been the overall QB1 in fantasy points in 2022. The MVP front-runner took a huge step in his third NFL season with a career-high 66.5% completion percentage, 3,701 yards, 22 touchdowns and six interceptions in 15 games. He also added 760 rushing yards and 13 TDs on 165 carries.
