Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Ilya Samsonov (upper body) will be unavailable on Saturday against the Calgary Flames. He continues to nurse an upper-body injury sustained during the warm-ups before last Saturday's 3-1 victory over the Nashville Predators. Samsonov's absence has come at a bad time for the Golden Knights, as the team has a back-to-back scheduled for a second consecutive weekend. Akira Schmid is the likely starter for Saturday's contest, while Adin Hill should return to the crease for Sunday's matchup against the Vancouver Canucks. Samsonov is sporting a 16-9-3 record for the season with two shutouts, a 2.79 goals-against average, and a .892 save percentage.--Taavi Pailk
