3 months agoNew York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin does not want to negotiate an extension with the team during the season. The 28-year-old star netminder is a pending unrestricted free agent next summer. Shesterkin has said he "loves" the team and fans but wants to fully focus on his game during the season, meaning he likely won't extend his contract with the team during the regular season if a new deal isn't reached before opening night. According to The New York Post's Mollie Walker, Shesterkin's camp is looking for an average annual value of $12 million for his new contract.
