Tampa Bay Rays left-handed pitching prospect Ian Seymour tossed six innings of one-run ball en route to picking up the victory over Triple-A Memphis on Thursday evening. In this outing, Seymour struck out five batters and allowed only six hits and no walks. This was Seymour's fourth-straight start earning a victory at Triple-A. During these four outings, Seymour has logged 25 2/3 innings of work to the tune of a 1.78 ERA and a 0.95 WHIP. During this stretch, the left-hander has struck out 21 batters and allowed only five walks. Seymour made his MLB debut earlier in June as well, but only made one appearance. He was deployed in a long relief role and logged two innings of one-run ball (unearned run) en route to earning a victory. Given his elite production in Triple-A this season, Seymour should be in the mix to return to Tampa Bay in the second half.--Andy Smith
