Ian Seymour, Joe Rock Promoted to Major Leagues
Ian Seymour and Joe Rock to the major leagues. Seymour made his MLB debut earlier this season and was quite effective during his first taste, posting a 1.69 ERA and a 1.03 WHIP through 10 2/3 innings. He has spent most of his time with Triple-A Durham and has flashed high strikeout upside, tallying 104 strikeouts across 86 innings of work. Rock has logged two innings in the major leagues this season and allowed two runs and four hits. Through 81 2/3 innings with the Durham Bulls, Rock posted a modest 4.63 ERA and a 1.44 WHIP. He tallied only 71 strikeouts and allowed 33 walks. With Zack Littell now in Cincinnati, Seymour could have an opportunity to start, while Rock will likely shift to the bullpen.
