Ha-Seong Kim Goes Deep In Extra-Inning Loss
1 year agoSan Diego Padres infielder Ha-Seong Kim did his best to help the team against the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday on the road, but it wasn't enough in a 7-6 loss in 12 innings. Kim finished the day going 2-for-6 with a home run, RBI, two runs scored and two strikeouts from the leadoff spot. The 27-year-old has become San Diego's primary leadoff man, as Sunday was his 11th straight game in the top spot in the order. It's been good news for his fantasy value, and he's also had multiple hits in three of his last five games to raise his season line to .262/.351/.418 with 11 home runs, 13 doubles, 33 RBI, a career-high 17 stolen bases and 48 runs scored in 89 games. Kim has reached base in 13 straight games, and his next home run will be a new career-high for him.
