Gunnar Henderson Taking Live Batting Practice
Gunnar Henderson (oblique) is taking live batting practice in camp on Friday for the first time since dealing with a sore oblique muscle early in spring training. Henderson said it shouldn't be much longer before he makes his Grapefruit League debut. Barring a setback of some sort, the 22-year-old youngster will have plenty of time to get ramped up before Opening Day in late March. He was a big reason why the O's captured the American League East crown in 2023 in his first full MLB season. RotoBaller has Henderson ranked as the No. 5 fantasy third baseman in 2024 after he slashed an impressive .255/.325/.489 with an .814 OPS, 28 homers, 82 RBI, 10 stolen bases and 100 runs scored in 150 regular-season games. The scary part is he could improve in the batting-average department if his plate discipline gets better.
