Gleyber Torres Out With Sore Shoulder
6 years agoUpdating a previous report, New York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres (shoulder) is out of the starting lineup on Thursday with a sore left shoulder. Manager Aaron Boone said that Torres could sit out on Friday as well. It doesn't sound like a serious injury, but the Yankees are giving Torres a bit of a rest as he's cooled off with the bat of late. Overall he's hitting a fine .279/.326/.523 with 14 long balls, 34 runs, 31 RBI and three steals in 222 at-bats. He could start seeing more frequent days off with Didi Gregorius (elbow) expected to make his season debut on Friday.
