Goaltender Carter Hart has agreed to join the Vegas Golden Knights on a professional tryout contract. The 27-year-old is looking to make an NHL comeback. He last played in the league during the 2023-24 season with the Philadelphia Flyers. Hart was one of five players on Canada's 2018 World Junior Championship gold-medal team who faced allegations of sexual assault in June of that year. All players were found not guilty. They were cleared to return to the league this season and will be eligible to play since Dec. 1. Hart is the first of the five to sign an NHL deal. He has been a capable goalie in the NHL and could give Vegas a solid alternative option between the sticks if he earns a standard contract. Across 229 career appearances, Hart has posted a 96-93-29 record, a 2.94 goals-against average, a .906 save percentage, and six shutouts.--Taavi PailkRead More News
