Giancarlo Stanton Shut Down For 7-10 Days
6 years agoNew York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that outfielder Giancarlo Stanton (calf) is dealing with a calf strain and will be shut down for seven to 10 days. Stanton was pulled off his rehab assignment with High-A Tampa and put back on the 10-day injured list, so this is extremely frustrating for the Yankees and Stanton's fantasy owners. There's no timetable for his return, and he might have to restart the whole rehab process. It's turning out to be a lost season for the elite slugger. Clint Frazier will continue to see starts in New York's outfield with both Stanton and Aaron Judge sidelined.
