George Springer Remains Day-To-Day
6 years agoHouston Astros outfielder George Springer (back) took batting practice in the batting cage on Wednesday and did some running and remains day-to-day with lower back stiffness that has kept him out since Sunday. “He’s moving great,” manager A.J. Hinch said. “It’s really all about hitting for him. He’s not going to do anything outside from a hitting standpoint, so we’ll see how he feels after the cage work.” Fantasy owners are hoping that Springer will be able to return on Thursday night against the White Sox. He's excelled so far in 2019, slashing .313/.396/.654 with 17 home runs, 41 runs, 42 RBI and four stolen bases in 182 at-bats.
