Dylan Carlson Still Dealing With Soreness
1 year agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Dylan Carlson (ankle, oblique) is dealing with some recurring soreness in the left ankle he sprained in May as well as his oblique. It's unclear which injury is the more pressing concern, but both injuries will likely need to improve before he's cleared to return from the injured list. It's more disappointing news in what has been a disappointing season in 2023 for the 24-year-old. The switch-hitting outfielder is hitting just .219 (48-for-219) with five home runs, 27 RBI, three stolen bases and 27 runs scored. The Cardinals just placed him on the 10-day injured list last Saturday, but it doesn't look like he'll return until at least September at this rate. He's not a must-hold in deep-mixed leagues.
