Arizona Diamondbacks outfield prospect Druw Jones made headlines on Wednesday night at High-A by posting an inside-the-park home run during the opening frame in their contest against High-A Tri-City. Later in the contest, Jones would also tack on another RBI. Over his last eight games, Jones has tallied three home runs while holding an .866 OPS with a 5:2 K:BB. The No. 7-ranked prospect in the Arizona system on MLB.com has spent the entire campaign with his first taste at the High-A level. Through 87 games with Hillsboro, Jones has posted a modest .243/.314/.340 slash line, but he appears to be turning the corner from a power perspective. Last season, the former second overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft had a .275/.409/.405 line through 109 games at Low-A. Given his slow start to the season, he will likely spend the entire second half with High-A.--Andy Smith
