Didi Gregorius To Start Rehab Assignment Saturday
6 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius (elbow), who is recovering from Tommy John surgery last October, served as the designated hitter in his fourth extended spring training game on Friday. He will start a rehab assignment with High-A Tampa on Saturday and is hoping to return around mid-June. “My timing is not there yet,” Gregorius said of his hitting. “But defensively I’m good. Arm and everything feels good.” Gregorius will return to starting shortstop duties when he's ready, which will push Gleyber Torres back to second base. He should be stashed in all leagues, as he can be a difference-maker at the position when he's healthy.
