Deyvison De Los Santos Knocks In Eight Runs
6 months agoArizona Diamondbacks third base prospect Deyvison De Los Santos continued his powerful season for Triple-A Reno on Sunday with a huge performance. De Los Santos went 3-for-4 on the day with two homers and eight RBI to lead Reno to their 40th victory of the season. De Los Santos has been a beast at the dish this season, leading all of minor-league baseball with 25 total homers this season between Double-A and Triple-A. The 21-year-old went unclaimed in the Rule 5 draft this offseason, and the Diamondbacks must be thankful for that, as he has hit a combined .346 with 75 RBI between both levels. The Diamondbacks currently have veteran Eugenio Suarez at the hot corner, but he hasn't shown the power that he has in the past and is hitting just .196 on the season. Suarez is the biggest hurdle for De Los Santos to overcome in getting his second his promotion of the season, but with his ascension and Suarez's descension, there should be an opportunity for De Los Santos to get a shot at some point this summer. With his immense power, De Los Santos should already be rostered in dynasty leagues and would be worth a pickup in redraft leagues if he's promoted.
