Los Angeles Chargers safety Derwin James will miss the remainder of the 2020-21 season after having sustained a meniscus injury during practice Sunday. James will undergo surgery due to the ailment and be out of the picture for at least the next 6-8 months, paving the way for Rayshawn Jenkins to shift over to the strong safety spot with Nasir Adderley moving into the free safety gig. In 2018, James exploded on the scene by making 105 combined tackles as a rookie before playing in just five games last year due to a stress fracture in his right foot. The Chargers’ defense becomes a more tenuous season-long proposition without James in the mix, potentially pushing them to the wire in most 10-or-12-team formats.--Jesse BorekRead More News
