San Francisco 49ers cornerback Deommodore Lenoir was arrested in Los Angeles on Thursday night on a charge of obstruction of justice, according to the police. The 25-year-old was released from jail on Friday morning and is scheduled to appear in court next month. Police observed a gun inside a parked vehicle when they approached a group that included Lenoir, and when police asked for the keys, another man tossed them to Lenoir. He then threw the keys to a third man, who tried to hide them. Lenoir signed a five-year, $92 million extension with the Niners in November of last year after he had 265 tackles, six interceptions and 26 pass breakups in his first four seasons with the team. It's unclear if this off-field situation will result in a suspension, but Lenoir is one of the team's key members of the secondary going into the future.--Keith Hernandez
