Denzer Guzman Promoted to Triple-A Salt Lake
Denzer Guzman was promoted to Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday, going 0-for-3 with a pair of strikeouts in his debut at that level. The Angels' 11th-ranked prospect had really heated up prior to his promotion, going 20-for-47 (.426) with a pair of homers and 12 RBI in 13 games before going hitless over the last three. For the season, he was slashing .242/.334/.415 with 11 home runs and eight steals in 93 games while at Double-A Rocket City. Strikeouts had been an issue in the past, coming into the year with a 27.7 percent K% in 102 games between High-A and Double-A, but the 6-foot-1 Dominican had lowered it to a palatable 23.8 percent in 2025. His defense is what could get him to the majors as soon as 2026, though, and the offensive profile doesn't yet warrant fantasy consideration.
