Denzel Mims Will Be A Game-Time Decision
3 years agoNew York Jets head coach Robert Saleh said that wide receiver Denzel Mims will be a game-time decision in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos. Mims was a healthy inactive in the Week 2 loss to the New England Patriots, and Saleh basically said the reason was that Mims doesn't contribute on special teams. The second-rounder last year is just too buried on the receiver depth chart to matter in fantasy, with Corey Davis, Keelan Cole, Braxton Berrios and rookie Elijah Moore ahead of him. And veteran slot man Jamison Crowder (groin) could be make his season debut this weekend, too. Mims is athletic and physical, but he needs to do more to be active on game days. He caught his only target for 40 yards in the Week 1 loss to the Carolina Panthers.
