Jeff Wilson Jr. Scores TD In Preseason Finale
Jeff Wilson Jr. scored a touchdown for the 49ers in their 30-23 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday. It was the second consecutive week that the veteran back found the end zone. Wilson also led the team in carries and rushing yards, toting the rock 11 times for 41 yards on the ground. With Christian McCaffrey as the team's unquestioned lead back and Brian Robinson Jr. joining the 49ers via trade on August 21, Wilson is jockeying for position at the back end of the depth chart more than anything else. His odds for making the final 53-man roster may be aided by the fact that Isaac Guerendo (shoulder) was favoring the injured shoulder that kept him out of the Niners' first two preseason games. Wherever Wilson settles in on the roster, he will not be a fantasy asset in the immediate future.
