2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel (ankle) didn't take part in the first practice of the week on Wednesday. Samuel missed Weeks 15 through 17 with ankle and knee sprains, so the Niners are likely just resting him before the NFC Championship contest on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. The 27-year-old disappointing in the Divisional Round against the Dallas Cowboys (four catches for 45 yards) after going for 133 yards and a touchdown on six receptions in the wild-card round. The good news is that Samuel played a season-high 95 percent of the offensive snaps last weekend and is expected to play in this Sunday's big game. It won't be easy to produce a bounce-back game against a Philly defense that allowed the sixth-fewest fantasy points per game this season in half-point PPR leagues to opposing receivers.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
