D'Andre Swift Could Miss Week 11 With Concussion
4 years agoDetroit Lions rookie running back D'Andre Swift (concussion) didn't practice on Thursday because of a brain injury, putting his status for Week 11 against the Panthers in question. Swift made his first career start in Week 10 in the win over Washington, carrying the ball 16 times for 81 yards and adding 68 receiving yards. If Swift were to miss this Sunday's game, veteran Adrian Peterson and Kerryon Johnson would split the backfield work against Carolina. Swift is third on the team with 31 catches, leads all Lions backs with 4.7 yards per carry and has a team-high six touchdowns (four rushing), so losing him this weekend would be a big blow to Detroit's offense. If you roster Swift, you should be making other plans right now. Peterson and Johnson will be on the RB2/3 borderline if Swift is inactive.
