Cody Bellinger Looking To Pick Up Where He Left Off
4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers first baseman/outfielder Cody Bellinger is healthy and looking to make the most of baseball's shortened 60-game season amid the coronavirus pandemic this year. The reigning National League MVP hit .305 with 47 home runs and 115 RBI for the National League West champions last season. The soon-to-be 25-year-old isn't putting pressure on himself to repeat his performance. Bellinger also won the NL Rookie of the Year in 2017 but struggled in 2018. The left-handed slugger spent the last few months working out at his home and fine-tuning his swing. Bellinger slowed down a bit late last season, but the promising aspect is that he lowered his strikeout rate and improved his walk rate in 2019. He's a top-five fantasy pick this year.
