Christian Moore to Begin Rehab Assignment
Christian Moore (thumb) is slated to begin a rehab assignment with Low-A Inland Empire on Wednesday. The eighth overall pick in last year's MLB Draft has been sidelined since the start of the month due to a sprained thumb. Last week, there were reports that Moore was able to take part in baseball activities, and now it appears he is slated to take the next step in his recovery plan. Given the time he missed, fantasy managers should expect him to need at least a week of action during his rehab assignment. Before his injury, Moore held a .189/.302/.396 slash line with three home runs through his first 18 games in the major leagues. The 22-year-old is worth monitoring as he should have an everyday role once he returns from the IL.
