Christian Moore Continues Rehab at Single-A, Homers on Saturday
Christian Moore (thumb) continued his rehab assignment on Saturday, going 2-for-3 with two walks, a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored in his fourth rehab game at Single-A Inland Empire. The Angels' top prospect has been on the shelf since the beginning of July with a sprained thumb. He was hitting .189 (10-for-53) with three home runs in 18 games during his time with the big league club before the injury. While a 12.5 percent walk rate was good, he was sporting a poor 66.1 percent contact rate and a 31.3 percent strikeout rate for the Halos. There is plenty of room for improvement, but at just 22 years old, the 2024 first-rounder still has a bright future and should be an impactful fantasy player next season.
