Chris Godwin Undergoes Successful Knee Surgery
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (knee) underwent successful surgery to fix his ACL and MCL on Monday, and the procedure was performed by noted expert Dr. James Andrews in Florida, according to a source. Godwin didn't have any meniscus damage, and he is scheduled to make a full recovery as he heads towards free agency in the offseason. The 25-year-old will be missed as Tampa tries to defend their Super Bowl title from last year in this season's playoffs. He finished the year with 98 catches for 1,103 yards and five touchdowns on 127 targets in 14 games. Antonio Brown won't finish out the year with Tampa either after his meltdown on Sunday, so the Bucs are now down to Mike Evans, Cyril Grayson and Tyler Johnson as their top three receivers.
