Chargers Re-Sign Kicker Michael Badgley
4 years agoThe Los Angeles Chargers re-signed kicker Michael Badgley to an undisclosed one-year deal, according to an informed source. The 25-year-old had been a restricted free agent. Badgley converted on just 24 of his 33 field-goal attempts last season, with all nine of his misses coming from beyond 40 yards. He also converted 36 of his 39 extra-point attempts in 2020. The Chargers added kicker Tristan Vizcaino earlier this month, so expect Badgley to have some competition in training camp this summer. In three seasons with the Bolts, Badgley has made 80 percent of his 65 field-goal attempts. He finished as the No. 17 fantasy kicker during the 2020 regular season, so he will most likely go undrafted in most standard leagues this fall.
