Cardinals to Place Zay Jones on Injured Reserve

The Arizona Cardinals will place wide receiver Zay Jones (Achilles) on Injured Reserve with an Achilles injury that he suffered in the Week 10 blowout loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, according to Zach Gershman of AZCardinals.com. Jones wasn't really on the fantasy radar to begin with in standard-sized leagues, but now he'll be forced to miss at least the next four games for the Cardinals. The 30-year-old veteran pass-catcher had only 12 catches on 18 targets for 183 yards and no touchdowns through eight games this year in a struggling Cardinals passing game. With Jones out for the foreseeable future, Greg Dortch should see more targets, but he's only worth a waiver-wire pickup for WR depth in deeper leagues. The earliest that Jones will be able to return will be for a Week 15 matchup on Sunday, Dec. 14, against the Houston Texans on the road.--Keith Hernandez
