Cam Collier Begins Rehab Assignment on Monday
Cam Collier (thumb) began a rehab assignment with the team's Arizona Complex League affiliate on Monday, going 0-for-2 in the contest. The Reds' fourth-ranked prospect (MLB No. 75) tore a ligament in his thumb during spring training and has been out of game action ever since. Once the 20-year-old completes the rehab assignment, he may be assigned to High-A Dayton, where he played all last season, but expect a promotion to Double-A later in the year. In 2024 at High-A, the left-handed slugger slashed .248/.355/.443 with 20 home runs in 119 games. If all goes well, the former first-round draft pick could make his MLB debut next season, and with his big-time power, Collier is a name dynasty managers should be keeping an eye on.
