Calvin Ridley Applying For Reinstatement
2 years agoJacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Calvin Ridley, who was suspended indefinitely for betting on NFL games during the 2021 season, applied for reinstatement on Wednesday, according to a source. Ridley was suspended for all of the 2022 season and applied for reinstatement on the first day that he was eligible. The Jags acquired the 28-year-old pass-catcher from the Atlanta Falcons last year, and he should eventually have a pretty big role alongside Christian Kirk and Zay Jones in Jacksonville's ascending offense if he's reinstated by the NFL. In 2020, Ridley had a 1,000-yard season and scored nine times on 90 receptions. He also scored a career-high 10 touchdowns and had over 800 yards in his rookie campaign in 2018.
