Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr. (eye) suffered an orbital fracture after a pregame incident while working out with an elastic band, head coach Shane Steichen told the media postgame. Steichen did not elaborate on what happened, other than noting that the band "malfunctioned." Richardson was taken to the hospital and will miss extended time. The improbable injury is a tough break for Richardson, a former first-round pick who was cemented as the backup quarterback behind Daniel Jones in Indianapolis. His recovery will likely take several weeks, which will put Riley Leonard in line to serve as Jones' backup for the time being.--Andersen Pickard
