Cal Quantrill Hit Hard In Latest Rehab Start
1 year agoCleveland Guardians right-hander Cal Quantrill (shoulder) had a rough minor-league rehab start on Sunday with Triple-A Columbus, allowing six earned runs on six hits (three home runs) while walking three and striking out three in 5 1/3 innings pitched. The 28-year-old tossed 84 pitches in the outing and will likely come off the 15-day injured list to rejoin Cleveland's starting rotation at some point this weekend against the Toronto Blue Jays. Fantasy managers in deeper leagues and DFS will want to avoid Quantrill if he makes his first start back against a potent Blue Jays lineup. In his 13 starts this year over 67 innings, Quantrill has struggled to the tune of a 6.45 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 38 strikeouts.
