Buccaneers Interview Dan Pitcher For OC Position
2 years agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a virtual interview with Cincinnati Bengals quarterbacks coach Dan Pitcher for their vacant offensive coordinator position on Friday. Pitcher has been with the Bengals since 2016 and has served as an offensive assistant, wide receivers coach and assistant quarterbacks coach. He was promoted to QBs coach in 2020. It's unknown what QB he'd be working with in Tampa if he got the job, but he's helped develop Joe Burrow into one of the best in the game over the last three years. Burrow led the NFL with a 70.4% completion percentage in 2021, and he threw for 4,475 yards, 35 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in the 2022 regular season. The Bucs are looking for a new offensive coordinator after firing Byron Leftwich.
