Brett Anderson Should Be OK
6 years agoOakland Athletics manager Bob Melvin said that starting pitcher Brett Anderson (side) should be OK moving forward after being pulled as a precaution on Saturday with a side/rib issue that he was dealing with this week. The left-hander allowed six hits (one homer) and three earned run while walking two and fanning two in the loss to the Astros in 5 1/3 innings on Saturday before he was pulled. Anderson is 6-4 on the year with a 3.95 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, 26 walks and 34 strikeouts in 66 innings over 12 starts. He's merely a deep league streamer when he's in the right matchup, but he has low upside due to his poor strikeout numbers.
