1 year agoColorado Rockies second baseman Brendan Rodgers (illness) has been scratched from Wednesday's starting lineup against the visiting Atlanta Braves. Alan Trejo is now starting at the keystone and batting eighth against Braves rookie right-hander Darius Vines. Rodgers will now miss his second straight game due to an illness. Not many fantasy managers were going to be starting the 27-year-old anyway, as he's hit just .218/.274/.295 with no home runs, 10 RBI and eight runs scored in 78 at-bats in 2023 in yet another disappointing season in Colorado. Trejo is a defense-first player that's hitting .235 (40-for-170) with only two homers, 21 RBI, four stolen bases and 16 runs scored in a bench role for the Rockies.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
