The Atlanta Braves agreed to a multi-year contract extension with president of baseball operations and general manager Alex Anthopoulos on Friday that will keep him with the team through the 2031 season. Anthopoulos was promoted to his current role in February of 2020 after joining the Braves as an executive vice president and GM in November of 2017. In six seasons under his leadership, the Braves have gone 515-354 (.593) with six straight National League East division titles and the 2021 World Series championship. Atlanta's 515 regular season wins since 2018 are the third-most in the majors, behind only the Dodgers (558) and Astros (530). The 46-year-old Anthopoulos finished as the runner-up in the MLB Executive of the Year voting in each of the last two seasons.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
