Brandon Marsh Being Held Out With Arm Injury
Brandon Marsh (arm), ranked by MLB Pipeline as the team's top prospect, has been held out of playing defense for precautionary reasons with a minor arm injury. Marsh has still been able to serve as a designated hitter and is expected to be in the lineup on Friday. The 23-year-old left-handed hitter is known as a very solid defensive outfielder with developing offensive skills at the plate. While Marsh is likely to start the 2021 season in the minor leagues, he has a pretty good chance of making his major league debut at some point this season. In the Rookie League and with Double-A Mobile in 2019, Marsh slashed .287/.368/.408 with a .776 OPS, seven home runs, 45 RBI and 19 stolen bases in 101 games.
